Anillo perla / Pearl ring

Hi everyone.

La entrada de hoy es una entrada de agradecimiento. Últimamente me he dado cuenta de lo importante que es sentir gratitud y sobre todo demostrarla así que allá voy. 

Quiero agradecer la inspiración que recibo cuando me hacen un encargo. Creo que es una de las sensaciones más satisfactorias. El reto. Suele comenzar con un "Esto me gusta pero ¿podrías cambiarle...?" y a partir de ahí el cielo es el límite. Discusiones, sugerencias, cambios, más discusiones, estudio de las posibilidades... no tiene fin. Es genial. A veces, cierto es, el resultado final es un desastre. Pero ay cuando lo consigues. La sensación de triunfo es tan excitante...

También quiero agradecer la paciencia que suelen tener conmigo las personas que me encargan algo. Gracias por ser comprensiv@s con las dificultades y contratiempos que pueden retrasar el trabajo. Sé que siempre esperamos con ilusión recibir nuestro collar, cajita, babero, etc. Mil gracias por seguir ahí.

Today's post is about grattitude. I have lately realised how important it is to feel grateful and specially to let it show so here I go.

I am thankful for all the inspiration I get whenever I get an order. I think it is one of the most rewarding feelings. The challenge. It begins usually with "I like this one but, could you change...?" and sky is the limit. Discussions, suggestions, changes, more discussions, studying possibilities, brainstorming... no end. It's great! It's wonderful! Sometimes, must admit, the result is nothing less than a disaster. But oh when you get it. Success is so exciting.

I also want to show grattitude for how patient people usually are when they order something. Thank your for being so understanding with all the difficulties and mishaps that may delay my work. I know we always wait with eagerness to get our necklace, box, bib, etc. Thank you for still being there.

La persona que me pidió que le hiciera este anillo merece mi gratitud por los dos motivos citados (y por muchos más que no voy a detallar en esta entrada): inspiración y paciencia. Espero que disfrute mucho de su anillo. 

The person who ask me to create this ring deserves my grattitude for both reasons I explained (and many more I'm not talking about in this post): she has been patient and a source of inspiration. I hope she will enjoy her ring very much.

Se trata de una pieza pensada para hacer juego con una pulsera (os la pongo otro día) hecha con perlas planas y cadena en color cobre antiguo. Después de un tiempo usando la pulsera la dueña me preguntó si era posible hacer un anillo con una perla del mismo tipo. Dicho y hecho. Lo difícil fue encontrar las cuentas de un tono lo más parecido posible al color de la cadena pero después de buscar un poco lo conseguí. 

It's a ring meant to complete a set together with a bracelet (of which I will tell you in a different post) done with flat fresh-water pearls and old copper chain. After sometime wearing the bracelet she asked me to create a ring with the same type of pearl. Easy-peasy. The difficult part was to find the beads in an identical color as the one of the chain. Buuut after looking a bit around I made it.

Ahora solo espero que lo lleve tan cómoda como la pulsera y que disfrute de ambos mucho tiempo.

I hope she uses it as much as the bracelet, for a long time.
