Anillo rosetón negro / Black rose window ring

Summertime and the livin' is easy como dice la canción. Estoy de vacaciones. ¿Alguna vez habéis oído una palabra más bonita?

Summertime and the livin' is easy as the song says. I'm on holidays. Have you ever heard a nicer word? 

Por supuesto que sí pero hoy me he dado cuenta de que no tengo nada que hacer. Aún faltan 15 días hasta que nos vayamos a nuestro viaje anual de vacaciones y entonces sí que no tendré NADA que hacer durante 4 maravillosos días. Pero hasta entonces solo serán tareas de casa y recaditos y el resto del día podré dedicarlo a lo que más me gusta: ARTESANÍAS.

Well, of course you have but today I realized I have nothing to do. It will take 15 days more until we go to our annual holiday trip and then I will really have NOTHING to do for 4 wonderful days. But until then it will be house work and minor tasks and all the rest of the day dedicated to do the things I love: CRAFTS.

Tengo tantas ideas burbujeando en mi cabeza que he tenido que hacer una lista para que no se me olvide ninguna. Y además, una de las tareas "menores" es actualizar el blog y seguir hablando de mis creaciones de los últimos meses.

I have so many ideas bubbling in my head that I had to make a list not to let them slip of my mind and forget about them. And also, one of the minor tasks is to update the blog and keep on posting about my creations from last months.

Ha sido una temporada llena de piezas nuevas. Estoy realmente encantada con la oportunidad que me brindan las ideas de otras personas de disparar mi creatividad. Es una manera diferente de aprender sobre mí misma y nuevas vías de creación.

It has been a period full of new pieces. I'm really delighted with the opportunity other people ideas give me to boost my creativity. It is a different way of learning about myself and new creation paths.

 Seguimos trabajando bajo demanda. La pieza de hoy es el resultado de una de estas conversaciones. Mi amiga me pidió que le hiciera un anillo para completar un conjunto negro que tenía. No quería que el anillo fuera muy grande. Todas estas peticiones me mantuvieron despierta durante varios días (para hacerlo más emocionante teníamos plazo de entrega) pero después de unos cuantos intentos tipo ensayo-error este fue el resultado.

So we keep on working "on demand". Today piece is the outcome of one of this conversations. My friend asked me to make a ring to match a black set she already had. She didn't want the ring too big. All of these requirements kept me awake for some days (there was a deadline to make it more thrilling) but after some trial-and-error approaches I came up with this ring.

En la siguiente foto podéis ver la banda trasera, intenté que fuera lo más simple posible pero con el mismo estilo que la parte principal del anillo.

In the next picture you can see the band, I tried to keep it as plain as possible but still in the same trend than the main part of the ring.

No estoy muy segura de como traducir al inglés el nombre del anillo. Rosetón no tiene una traducción muy clara, supongo que lo que más se acercaría es rose window.

I'm not sure how to translate to English the name I gave to this ring. The whole thing reminds me of the round vitrail windows that can be found in cathedrals so that was it: rosetón means rose window. It is a word that can be used in many other contexts and probably you will see me using it in the future.
