Anillo Orión / Orion ring

Hi everyone.

Incluso en domingo tengo miles de cosas en mi lista de cosas por hacer. Imagino que por eso se me olvidó poner esta entrada ayer.

Even on Sunday there are thousands of things in my to-do list. I guess that's why I forgot to post about this ring yesterday. 

Ya os he contado que me gustan las flores pero no os había dicho que también me gustan las estrellas. No soy astrónoma pero después de haber vivido siempre en una gran ciudad me encanta levantar la vista hacia un cielo estrellado siempre que estoy al aire libre. El aire es limpio y las estrellas brillan en lo alto, parpadeando como si nos guiñaran a los que estamos aquí abajo.

I have already told you I like flowers but I have never told you I also like stars. I'm not a stargazer but having lived all my life in a big city I truly enjoy looking up to a starry night whenever in open air. The air is clear and stars shine bright above, sparkling as if winking at you down there. 

Como podéis ver elegí el nombre de una estrella para mi blog. Y también está relacionado con el nombre de este anillo puesto que Rigel es la estrella más brillante de la constelación de Orión. Es mi favorita. Supongo que la razón es que es la única constelación que puedo identificar sin equivocarme.

As you can see, the name of a star is the one I chose for my blog. And it is also related to the name of this ring since Rigel is the brightest star of Orion constellation. It is my favourite one. I suppose the reason is it is the only constellation I can unmistakably identify. 

Hay montones de referencias a las estrellas en las películas, viejas y nuevas. Por nombrar solo algunas os menciono Ben-Hur, Bitelchús y Hombres de negro, todas ellas con referencias a Orión y sus estrellas más brillantes.

There are plenty of references to stars in movies, old and new. To mention just a few I will tell you about Ben-Hur, Betelgeuse and Men in Black, all of them with references to Orion and its most important stars.

Y vamos ya con el anillo. Este es el anillo Orión (no, no el cinturón de Orión ;)).

And now to the ring. This is Orion ring (no, not Orion's belt ;)).

Está hecho siguiendo un esquema de Cris Rugar, podéis visitar su blog aquí. Tiene algunas piezas muy interesantes para echarles un vistazo.

It is made following a scheme from Cris Rugar, you can visit her blog here. She has some very nice pieces worth to take a look at.

Está hecho en tonos verdes para hacer juego con unos pendientes hoops, los primeros que podéis ver en esta entrada.

This ring is made in green shades to match a pair of hoop earrings, the first ones you can see in this post.

This is another picture from the side.

Es una banda simple en punto peyote en un "maravilloso verde metalizado navideño". Si pudiera hacer buenas fotos en las que se vieran los colores REALES...

It is a plain band of peyote stitch in a "wonderful metallic dark Christmas green". Only if I was able  to take gook photos that show the REAL colour.
